Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Ingeniaz ("we", "us") collects through ingeniaz.com and our self-hosted products, why, and your rights. We collect as little as possible.

1. What we do NOT collect

Our products, such as dzQuali, are self-hosted: they run on your own servers. We never receive your database credentials, the contents of your tables, or the results of your checks.

2. What we collect

Waitlists: your email address, the product you signed up for, the date and your consent.
Your Ingeniaz account: your email, name and company, your consent and its date, when you created the account and last signed in, how many times you downloaded, and the IP address of each sign-in. We send a 6-digit code to your email to sign in; we keep only a fingerprint of it, for 10 minutes. A strictly necessary cookie keeps you signed in (up to 30 days if you ask us to remember the browser). Before you go to payment we record that you confirmed you know about the free trial and the refund policy (date, edition and whether you had tried the product). You can delete your account at any time from the account page.
Downloads (before accounts): registrations made with the earlier download form: your name, email, company, the date, the IP address of the request, whether you opened the link and how many times you downloaded.
Free trials: when a new installation starts its trial, the email of its administrator, an installation identifier, the date and the IP address of the request.
Course licenses: when a student activates a course code, the student's email, the code, an installation identifier, the date and the IP address of the request.
License checks: about once a day each installation sends its license key (we store only a fingerprint of it), its installation identifier, the Software version, the email linked to the purchase and the IP address of the request. We keep a history of these checks (date, installation, version, IP and result) for up to 12 months to detect licenses shared or used on more installations than allowed.
Contact: the name, email and message you send us.
Server logs: our web server keeps technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security, for up to 30 days.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal data to anyone.

3. Payments

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment and billing information under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details. Lemon Squeezy shares with us your name, email, country and purchase details so we can provide the license and support.

4. Why we use it

To provide trials and licenses and prevent abuse of free trials.
To send you the product updates you asked for (waitlists), which you can stop at any time.
To answer your messages and provide support.
To keep our services secure.

5. How long we keep it

Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Accounts: until you delete them (from the account page or by writing to us); the records of a free trial and of licenses are kept as described next. Download registrations: up to 2 years. Trial and license records: while the license is active and up to 2 years after, to prevent trial abuse and for accounting. Contact messages: up to 2 years. Server logs: up to 30 days.

6. Where it is stored

Our servers are located in the United States. Data is protected with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and personal data (names, emails, companies and messages) is encrypted at rest; access is restricted and backups are kept without the keys needed to read them.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or to stop processing it, by writing to contacto@ingeniaz.com. We answer within 15 business days. These rights apply under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and, if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Colombia, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio).

8. Children

Our products are business tools and are not directed to children under 16.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will publish the new version here with a new date.
